About Alice Woods
I used to steal my Dad’s Olympus camera and sneak a few shots on his rolls of film. Fast forward a few years and a couple of manual shooting classes later, I invested in a full frame digital camera. Why this matters to you: I love photography, especially when this means turning moments of your life into art.
It is difficult for me to describe my photography...how do I faithfully report the inside of my own head, what happens behind the eyes? I'm a cross between a photojournalist and a painter... between a reporter and an illustrator. Fantastical realism, faithfully chronicling your life. The raw right next to the dream.
I turned to a friend and asked how they would describe my photography. This is what they said: "They say a picture holds a thousand words. Each of your photos holds a novel...one I'm desperate to read."
Your journey is important, compelling, messy, fun and vital. The in-between moments and the highlight reel... I would love to tell your story.
